A harper in the forest is an iconic visual. I can't do it, because, in a word, bugs. I don't like bugs in software, or in health, or in nature.

Bugs
There’s a sign on my forehead
Only insects can see
It says Eat And Get Gas
Here at Dan’s Eatery
It’s neon and flashing
Says “all you can eat”
To a bug I’m a dinner
From my head to my feet.
That’s why I can’t play my harp in the forest
Or sing by myself or as part of a chorus
Mosquitoes and deer flies bring pain and disease.
Wasps and big horseflies, and spiders and bees.
If there had to be insects
Why did we get bugs?
Instead of sharp stingers
Why can’t they give hugs?
Or stick to their pollen
When they want a meal
Instead of the pain
And the itching I feel
That’s why I can’t play my harp in the forest
Or sing by myself or as part of a chorus
Mosquitoes and deer flies bring pain and disease.
Wasps and big horseflies, and spiders and bees.
I can’t play my harp
In the woods with a singer
Without being the target
Of some bug’s sharp stinger
Their bites and their buzzes
will drive me to drugs
I can’t play my harp
in the woods with these bugs
That’s why I can’t play my harp in the forest
Or sing by myself or as part of a chorus
Mosquitoes and deer flies bring pain and disease.
Wasps and big horseflies, and spiders and bees.
Even if bugs
were my friends and benign
They wouldn’t make music,
They’d buzz and they’d whine
The one thing they can do
My harp as I strum
Is follow along
They can’t sing but they’ll hum.
That’s why I can’t play my harp in the forest
Or sing by myself or as part of a chorus
Mosquitoes and deer flies bring pain and disease.
Wasps and big horseflies, and spiders and bees.
Spiders and hornets and also some crickets
And blood sucking ticks on my skin they will prick it,
Mosquitoes and deer flies bring pain and disease.
Wasps and big horseflies, and spiders and bees.
