Description

The  Silhouettes released “Get a Job” on their first record in 1957, and it earned a gold record. The band Sha Na Na liked it so well they took its name from the song’s lyrics,. In 1969 Sha Na Na performed it at Woodstock and released a recording of the song in 1971.  I’m guessing “Get a job’s” something a lot of musicians like myself heard a lot from their parents. Even though the topic is discord in the family, the song is upbeat and just plain fun.
