Description

I first heard a Celtic performer sing the Dunne Song decades ago, but I couldn't find it anywhere (and couldn’t remember who I heard it from) until decades later when I found an obscure reference on the Web, which led me to a recording of the song on iTunes. My daughter was visiting when I learned the song, singing it as I roamed around the house. She started singing it with me. It was always popular at gigs, but not with her roommates — after the first hundred or so renditions they forbade her to sing it in their apartment! Nevertheless it remains one of my favorite songs.
