The theme for Doctor Who was written by Ron Grainer, and Australian, in 1963. It was released that year by Delia Derbyshire, who created the electronic music performance at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. It was featured in the first episode on November 23rd (the day after U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated) of that year.
Judging by the sound othat comes out of it, my harp is bigger on the inside!
