Irish harper Rory Dall O'Cahan's 1603 "Give Me Your Hand", written in Scotland for Lady Eglington after she apologized for mistaking him for a common harper. King James VI heard it and invited him to the Scottish court, where he became quite popular. It has become a staple of Celtic music.
