Roy Orbison and Joe Melson wrote “Blue Bayou” in 1961. It was a hit for Orbison in 1963, and a top 5 hit for Linda Ronstadt in 1977. I thought it was virtually begging for a harp part, so I gave it a try, with with the musicians on a skiff, and not to mention the Dannettes in the row boat… probably best not to mention them...
