Somebody Stole My Gal

A 1918 classic by Leo Wood, the lyrics are sad, but the melody is unbridled happiness. It is fine on the harp, but the banjolele really makes it pop. I first heard it done by Jim Kweskin’s Jug Band, but it’s been performed by just about everyone including Benny Goodman, Cab Calloway, Merle Travis, Leon Redbone, and Fats Waller.

Celtic harp, Banjolele, Micro-bass (with background Guitar, Bells and Tuba)
