Neil Young wrote “I Am A Child” in 1968. When I was in high school I’d go with friends to Boston coffeehouses to listen to Chris Smither. I liked everything he did (including stopping mid-song to shush loud patrons) but his rendition of it has remained my favorite song all these years.
