Description

Harry Champion’s second Cockney food song, which he first performed in 1915 in the English Music Hall.  It was written by T. W. Conner, and became a staple in Champion’s repertoire.  His first food song was Boiled Beef and Carrots ( click for my version  ) in 1909.  Champion’s repertoire also included “Oh! That Gorgonzola Cheese” ( click for my version ), and “I Am Henry the Eighth, I Am” ( click for my version ).
