I had heard the 1940s song “Java Jive” (not in the 1940s, though. I’m not THAT old!), but it wasn’t until I heard Jim Kweskin and his Jug Band play it that I decided I had to learn it. I’ve doodled it on the guitar for years, but for this video I worked in a harp part so I could get the band together. The song was written by Ben Oakland and Milton Drake.
